Web Designer / Developer
Looking to join an established, successful interactive marketing firm in Orange County? Want to work on large-scale projects for high-end technology clients? Since 1994, Binary Pulse, a technology marketing firm based in Irvine, has performed work for Fortune 500 clients and cool startup companies alike.
Binary Pulse has an opening for a talented, proven Web Designer/Developer to join its team.
Qualified candidates must have at least five (5) years of web design and development experience building complex dynamic websites. Our ideal candidate is NOT solely a hard core programmer. Nor are they a pure front-end designer with no ability to code. Our sweet spot is a hybrid of front- and back-end skills that can see a Web project through from start to finish.
Candidates must have the following:
- Ability to create and produce original web designs, from client input through to final layered PSDs; including corporate sites, microsites/promotional sites, HTML emails
- Expertise with Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready and Illustrator
- Ability to efficiently slice and optimize graphic images
- Proven record with writing, debugging, and maintaining HTML, XHTML, PHP, JavaScript and CSS
- Ability to work with server side objects and includes
- Working knowledge of template integration in dynamic sites
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, SharePoint and/or Drupal
- A critical eye for page design, layout, content population and user experience
- Confidence testing Web pages for compliance with coding standards and on multiple browsers and platforms
- Experience hosting a finalized Web site, either by working with a third-party host, hosting in house or with a client’s internal resource
- Multi-tasking skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, manage expectations, deliver on deadlines, and handle conflicting priorities
- Be a comfortable communicator and enjoy the opportunity to meet with clients
- Work with account management, creative, marketing and development groups in an professional, confident manner
- Understanding of mobile and touch device integration
- Experience with white hat SEO strategies
- Experience with Google Analytics
Additional desired skillsets/qualities (nice-to-have, but not mandatory):
- Lead in project definition, analysis, solution implementation
- Provide accurate project scope and estimates
- Be an effective proposal writer
- Expertise with Website Architecture, Server Platforms (IIS, Apache), Client / Server Applications, Databases (MS SQL / MySQL)
- Experience with ASP.NET/VB.NET/C#, .NET Framework, Web Services, Server Controls, SQL Stored Procedures
- CSS3, HTML5
- iOS and Android development
- Ability to migrate existing applications to new server / coding environments and interface with internal / external staff to determine software and platform requirements
- Implementation and research of keyword relevancy and competitiveness
- Experience with email deployment systems
- Experience with Salesforce.com site integration
- Experience with Flash and/or video editing

Our hours are from 8am to 5:30pm (sometimes longer if the deadline dictates). We work hard, but have fun along the way.
