Web Developer
Binary Pulse has an opening for a Web Developer/Programmer with at least five (5) years experience designing and developing complex dynamic Web sites.
Qualified candidates must have the following experience/abilities:
- Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent
- A minimum of five years of experience with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready and Illustrator
- Ability to efficiently and precisely slice and optimize graphic images, and optimize HTML
- Write, debug, and maintain JavaScript and cascading style sheets
- Ability to work with server side objects and possess working knowledge of template integration in dynamic sites
- Proven experience with ASP and Microsoft-based technologies
- Microsoft VB.Net, C# development experience
- Experience with .NET Web development
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access application development
- Ability to test Web pages for compliance with coding standards on multiple browsers and platforms
- Ability to work independently and must be able to handle multiple projects, reliably meet deadlines and produce fully-functional Web projects
- Familiarity with browser capabilities, user interface requirements, cross-platforming, site architecture, and Web server hardware are important to this position
Additional skills/experience of interest, but not required for the position are:
- Experience with PHP and Apache-based technologies
- Flash design/programming/Action Script
- Search engine optimization
- Email marketing
- Experience with technology-oriented customers
Job Description:
- Teams with a Web designer to develop site architecture for new Web sites and pages
- Develops programming code for assigned Web projects based on creative and marketing strategies stated in approved proposals
- Tests Web programming to ensure functionality for active Web sites
- Posts tested and approved coded data to active Web sites
- Regularly updates active Web sites maintained by the agency, programming code to ensure sites stay functional as technology changes
- Stays current on all programming-related technology trends and innovations, and notifies Webmaster regarding training needs, or hardware and software upgrades to keep the agency on the leading edge of interactive design
- Informs Webmaster if server problems occur on any agency-managed or maintained interactive properties; assists in helping to resolve all such problems
- Makes digital backups of all agency programming projects for off-site storage

- Has 5+ years of B2B solutions sales experience - preferably
selling to marketing executives

We offer a generous sales compensation plan that includes a small base
salary plus a percentage of sales with residual income for the length
of employment. We also provide a health insurance plan after 90 days
and 401k participation after 1 year.

Flash Designer / Developer
Experienced
Flash designer/developer needed to help with a variety of multimedia
demos (short- and long-format). We are looking for someone
with a proven, high degree of proficiency utilizing Flash for presentations
(not just Web sites) including integration of voice, music, animation,
typesetting and navigation.
The person
hired for this position will need to be able to work at our
Orange County, CA location most of the time.
We're primarily
looking for self-sufficient production support, but somebody who can
bring an additional level of conceptual thought to help detail
out the bells and whistles is preferred. Illustration ability a
big plus.
Projects
will include the development of tutorial(s) and demo(s) running
anywhere from three to six minutes, and may include online banner
ad adaptations to direct traffic to those presentations.
You must
possess an extreme attention to detail, be very communicative,
be accessible when on project and very fast -- the average five-minute
presentation will need to be completed within three to four weeks,
start to finish.
Scripts
and voiceover audio will be developed
by other in-house team members. If you have the ability
to effectively storyboard, you may be called upon to provide
that service, too. Demo(s) will not, most likely, require sophisticated
action scripting or exotic backend programming. While that
experience is valued, it will not be the primary attribute
we need for these projects. Rather, experience creating product
demos and process tutorials that deliver information in a succinct,
impactful and engaging manner is most relevant.
